I felt at home away from home.
And what else can describe a good meal better, than a tempting photo ... :)
Frida
In Mexico, wherever you look, you feel Her spirit. Frida is practically everywhere, so why not in a hotel. There were books of her in the lobby, her portraits on the walls, T-shirts with her motive to buy, etc.
Hotel Posada 06 Tulum
On every journey you have to consider a change of plan. Because we didn't make it to Guatemala as we planned (we stopped in Belize City and visited Caye Caulker Island for one night, but there were only 3 days left), we decided to head back towards Tulum. Since The Live Tulum Hotel was already fully booked (as expected), we booked Hotel Posada 06 Tulum. The prices were a bit lower than in The Live Tulum, but the rooms were great and we felt cosy and safe there, as well. The breakfast was also okay, especially I found it funny, when I woke up still sleepy and tired from one day lasting trip from Belize back to Mexico and tasted a very well 'hidden' chili pepper in tomato salad, which I adored. I was awake in a second and thought to myself: at least I know I am in Mexico :). The staff was friendly, but they spoke mostly Spanish.
Hint: If you wanna be closer to the seaside, do check the Azulik Hotel also. We haven't stayed there, but I read lots of posts and saw many beautiful pictures and I found it fascinating, plus it is situated directly on the beach. Definitely on my 'must visit' list.
